Frankee Uno
By appointment only
San Francisco, CA
Phone: (415)756 - 9404
Frankee’s fun loving personality and spunky attitude make her the go-to gal when we want an updated cut or color at her San Francisco salon. We used to go to hair appointments with ripped out pages from a magazine that inevitably got misplaced. Luckily Frankee thinks of everything; her ever changing look-book is torn from the pages of Vogue, Elle, Bazaar, InStyle (not those oversize hairstyle mags) and helps clients jog their style senses. Using her own hair as a canvas, Frankee aims to show that experimenting with cut and color can be fun and totally not scary. She can take you platinum or pink, warm chestnut or beachy blond- base your cut on a current trend or choose an old-standby, Frankee always has ideas and encourages clients to do what makes them feel comfortable. When a friend paid her a visit with some brassy highlights that needed a little lovin’, Frankee’s experience with subtle color, highlights and low lights yielded a softer, more blended overall hue. A good listener who never oversteps hair boundaries, Frankee’s main goal is that people leave with healthy hair that makes them look and feel fantastic. And although she is a woman in demand, she always finds time to fit both old and new clients into the schedule.

LaBelle Day Spas
233 Grant Avenue
San Francisco, CA
Phone: (415)433-7644
We walked into this San Francisco salon with our hair feeling blah, but when we emerged we were suddenly eliciting ooh-la-la’s! The tone of your LaBelle experience is set from the minute you ring their downtown door and are buzzed upstairs; it’s exclusive, it’s elegant, and they are expecting you. After setting us up with a glass of champagne and a petite plate of fruit and cheese, our attentive guide brought us to the chair of one of LaBelle’s superior stylists’. All of the LaBelle hair staff has been trained by lead stylist Sammy who has over 25 years of experience in the elite salons of Beverly Hills. We went in wanting to elevate our cute cut to chic coiffure and after a battery of questions relating to our hair likes, habits, and general regimen, we timidly decided to take our bobbed brunette locks significantly lighter and a lot edgier. Eschewing scissors they used a razor to shape, define, and texurize our usually limp locks. Color wise, the maven's confidently suggested partial highlights with 2 contrasting colors guaranteeing to make our brown locks pop. The combo of light blonde and champagne added subtle drama that turned heads up and down Kearny Street. No wonder the crew book appointments up to a month in advance at this San Francisco salon. Their hair designs are worth every penny and we can say with confidence, “In LaBelle we trust!”
