A pensioner says she is "fed up" as a "plague" of giant slugs has been invading her home for months.
Rose Alexander, 67, managed to take a photo of one of the beastly slugs on the food recycling bin outside her home in Stenhouse, Edinburgh.
Last Christmas, Rose says the slimy creatures managed to get into her kitchen drawer as she was about to serve dinner, ruining the big meal for her family.

"They are very big and they are all over the garden and are getting into the kitchen through the back door," she told EdinburghLive.
Rose reckons damp in her home is what is causing the slug problem. She says she has been battling with Edinburgh City Council to get a member of their repair team to come and look at the issue.
Rose also claimed the slugs have left her feeling anxious and depressed.
She said: "I am fed up of this plague of slugs getting into the house and I’ve been waiting a long time for an appointment so that someone can come and look at the issue.
"They are causing me anxiety and I am finding them everywhere, in the food cupboards and in with my dishes.
"I am just feeling fed up and depressed that I can’t have a normal kitchen like everyone else.
"Last year I had one in the cutlery drawer as I was about to serve Christmas dinner.
"I threw the dinner in the bin, it spoiled our Christmas."
The council confirmed they are aware of the issue and said they will be looking into the problem.
