Hotel Nikko San Francisco hotel description>>

Great Hotel, great service
Reviewer: San Francisco visitor, Chicago, IL

My mom and I stayed at the Nikko for 6 nights last August (2003), where I attended a conference. I thought the service was great and the staff very friendly. The room had a pretty nice view, considering the discount internet rate from the room. The concierge was also very helpful in arranging a tour to the Muir Woods and Sausolito for us (can't miss it if you're in SF!) Overall, great experience.

excellent hotel and perfect service (there if you need it but not over bearing and in your face) great location around union square and nicely appointed rooms.

Convenient, friendly-staffed but small
Reviewer: San Francisco visitor, Lawrenceville, NJ

While the lobby is ultra-modern and impressive and the staff friendly and courteous, the room was small. There was very little room to move around. If you're alone this may be ok, but with a second person this is a little cramped. It is conveniently located near Market Street (the main trolley lines are here). Parking is valet. A call down from the room before leaving was enough to make sure the car was there. We ordered room service one night and wasn't overly impressed with the food. It was both cold and bland. Perhaps a walk down to the lobby would prove differently. Overall, it was a nice hotel and a good value for the location. I'd say it was ok. For a good price and if needing somewhere to simply rest your head this works fine.
