Prior to the start of this week's ridiculous weather which has smashed the all-time UK temperature record, the country's reservoirs were already on the verge of running dry due to a lack of rainfall.

One of the worst affected reservoirs in the UK is Bolton's Wayoh Reservoir which has been plagued by arid spots in recent weeks, reports the Mail.
The glistening pool is responsible for supplying 50% of Bolton with water and should be filled with 500 million gallons of liquid.
