A clown allegedly stalking the streets has sent local police an ominous message, daring members of the force to hunt him down and catch him.
Dressed as Pennywise the Clown from Stephen King's horror classic, IT, the unknown individual appears to be stalking the streets of a Scottish town. Now, he is challenging police in Skelmorlie, North Ayrshire, to hunt him down.
Facebook posts from the clown were posted under an account named Cole Deimos. Locals are now saying the chilling likeness has left them "terrified" while the Pennywise monster has left a "message to the media" earlier this morning.

Hitting the streets and delivering some rhymes in an address to camera, the clown said: "Well, well, well, I've made the news again. Should I smile for the cameras with my 'hideous' grin'?".
According to a Facebook profile, he "studied at Clown School" and lives in Skelmorlie. Locals are now worried for their safety though allege the clown is a little afraid of responses to now-deleted posts.
One resident claimed the posts were "getting too much heat", though the masked man addressed this in a video and said: "What a stupid thing to say." Police Scotland are aware of the posts.
It comes as previous posts are uncovered, with Sky News reporting the first appearances of the terror. The clown is believed to have shown up in the village back in 2021, repeatedly saying he did not want "fame, glory or gold."
The clown said: "Do you think that I care? They'd have to catch me first anyway – and yes, that's a dare. They called me 'killer clown'. Why don't you leave the jokes to me. The only thing that's dying is your credibility.
"This clown doesn't want fame, glory or gold. He just wants to play in this so-called 'sleepy town'. So, come and join in and learn to fear the Skelmorlie clown."
Some are definite fans of the clown, with one saying: "Love it every year! Please don't stop!". Another added: "We were out the other night in Skelmorlie hoping to bump into you."
