Denver weather: Rain showers, thunderstorms and cooler temperatures

Denver will have cooler temperatures in the 50s with thunderstorms and an increasing chance of rain on Monday, forecasters said.

It will be mostly cloudy with a high temperature of about 59 degrees, said the National Weather Service in Boulder.

There’s a slight chance of rain between 9 a.m. and noon and then a bigger chance of rain showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. The chance for precipitation is 40%, the NWS said.

Patchy fog is expected after 2 a.m. Tuesday. There’s a 10% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m. The high temperature will be about 71 degrees, the weather service said.

Warmer temperatures are expected Wednesday, when it will be partly sunny. The high temperature will be about 78 degrees.

There’s a good chance for afternoon rain showers and thunderstorms on Thursday, when the high temperature will be about 70 degrees, the NWS said.

It will be mostly cloudy on Friday, when there will be a chance for rain showers and thunderstorms. The high temperature will be about 66 degrees. Rain showers and thunderstorms are likely Friday night.

Rain and thunderstorms are possible Saturday, when it will be partly sunny. The high temperature will be about 65 degrees.

Although it will be mostly sunny on Sunday, with a high temperature around 75 degrees, there’s still a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, the NWS said.
