Former Aurora school monitor arrested for alleged child exploitation

The Aurora Police Department arrested an 18-year-old former school monitor on allegations of inappropriate sexual conduct Tuesday.

Enrique de Jesus Carrillo-Rivera was booked into the Aurora City Jail on charges of internet luring of a child and internet sexual exploitation of a child.

Carrillo-Rivera was employed by Aurora Public Schools and worked at Vaughn Elementary School. The district no longer employs him.

Police say investigators are still working on the case, and they need to limit the amount of information released. They called the case “very active.” Aurora Internet Crimes Against Children detectives are looking for information about incidents involving Carrillo-Rivera and say there may be more victims.

Officials ask that those with information call the Internet Crimes Against Children tip line at 303-739-6164 or call police dispatch at 303-627-3100.
