Ghostly figure spotted floating off UK coast leaving woman absolutely stunned

A ghostly apparition has been spotted off of a UK coast, leaving one woman "absolutely stunned" by the appearance of a seemingly spooky vision.

The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, says she spotted an eerie figure on the beaches of Cleethorpes, Grimsby, with the figure floating off in the distance.

Amid the heavy fog of Thursday evening (May 11), it would appear an eerie figure made itself present to a woman out for a stroll, the "strange white figure" causing quite the stir.

Urging people in the area to "look out" for the eerie phantom, the unnamed woman has wondered whether it was someone walking on the beach or "something else", GrimsbyLive reported.

She said: "I spotted this strange looking white figure floating round on the beach on Thursday evening. I was absolutely stunned so I quickly took a couple of photos and hopped into my car.

"The gloomy and foggy nature of the evening just made it even stranger."

Whether it was a phantom figure or just a dog walker is yet to be solved, although the area is littered with spectral sighting and ghostly tales.

Local legend claims a non-threatening spirit of an old man who lost his life on a ghost train haunts the site of Wonderland, a now-closed resort on the beachfront.

Other phantom horrors include the ghostly tale of an inhabitant of the former Imperial Hotel, with ghost hunters claiming to have found spirits around the old hotel grounds.

Those spirits include that of a pregnant woman, a missing fisherman and regular sightings of eerie spirit presence.

Flickering lights and electrical equipment were reported from the scene of the supposed haunting, while others have reported feeling strange sensations.

The building has since been turned into a block of flats, but mysteriously moving objects were spotted over the years.
