Harrys Coronation seat generous but William and Kate didnt need distractions

Prince Harry had a “generous” seat at King Charles’s Coronation, a royal expert has said.

Kinsey Schofield also explained that William and Kate “didn’t need any distractions” and so it was just as well Harry wasn’t too close to them.

Speaking to the Daily Star she explained how she thought Harry’s location within touching distance of the main group of Royal Family members might have been kind to the prince, but it wasn’t so close that it could have become a problem.

She said: “I thought Prince Harry's seating placement was generous. He was with the core group without being too close to the individuals he has hurt the most over the last few years.

“Prince William and the Princess of Wales had a job to do that day and didn't need any distractions."

Kinsey also discussed how – for royal fans in the US – while the main event on the day was of course the sheer spectacle of the event itself, Prince Harry was still a source of major interest.

She added: “Americans tuned in for the pomp but most certainly tried to dissect Harry's body language.”

Fears about possible flair-ups had not been non-existent ahead of the coronation, however, in the end things passed without any problems.

Kinsey felt, however, there was one thing in particular that might have been a little uncomfortable for some.

Kinsey was referring to a tweet put out by fashion house Dior, which dressed Prince Harry for the occasion.

It said: “Tailoring fit for royalty.

“Dior is honoured to have dressed Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, for the Coronation of King Charles III in a custom design by Kim Jones.

“Seen arriving at Westminster Abbey, gain an insight into the savoir-faire of his three-piece suit next.”

Kinsey noted this likely wouldn’t sit well with everyone, adding: “I think everyone is relieved that Harry behaved himself during the coronation but the tweet from Dior about dressing Harry for the historical event made a lot of people feel icky. “
