Killer mum Tracey Connelly “hit the roof” after hearing her release from prison could be blocked.

Justice Secretary Dominic Raab wants the Parole Board to reverse its decision to clear Baby P’s mum for freedom.

If it does, it will be two years before Connelly, 40, is granted another hearing.

Sources at HMP Low Newton in County Durham where she is being held said: “She hit the roof.

“Tracey was visibly upset and sobbed in her cell. She feels she is being harshly punished now. She says she was cleared once for freedom so why is she still banged up?” The Parole Board had ruled that Connelly posed a “low risk” of reoffending.

But our source added: “Mr Raab… feels there is a very real danger she will offend again.”

Connelly won her fourth bid for parole after being recalled to prison in 2015 for selling naked photos of herself.

She was originally jailed in 2009 for causing or allowing the death of her toddler son Peter.

The gran of Baby P has slammed her twisted daughter and said her dying wish is to see her stay behind bars.

Mary O’Connor saw her daughter Tracey Connelly, 40, sentenced to prison in 2009 for causing or allowing the death of infamous tot Peter who suffered 50 injuries.

The 72-year-old, who learned she had terminal cancer just one day after a Parole Board ruled Tracey could be released, slammed her daughter as a “b****”.

She told The Sun: “She needs to be in jail for life, she shouldn’t be out.

“She won’t have changed. To let her out for what she did? You have to be joking.

“I’d love to go up to him and say, ‘Don’t let her out’… Peter died because of her.”
