North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un has vowed to build an "invincible" military in a terrifying warning to the West.
The despot was reviewing a rare exhibition of the hermit state's weapon systems and also accused the United States of being the "root cause" of instability in the Korean Peninsula.
He made the address flanked by a large variety of very big missiles.
It appeared to be an effort to drive a wedge between Washington and South Korea as he delivered a speech at the Defense Development Exhibition Self-Defense-2021, an event to mark the 76th birthday of the ruling Workers' party in the country.
Kim said that his country's most important objective was owning an "invincible military capability" that no one can dare to challenge.
He launched an attack on US President Joe Biden's claims that the country is not hostile towards North Korea.
According to state media, he said: "I am very curious if there are people or countries who believe that [the US is not hostile].

Kim Jong-un uses body double so he doesn't have to lose weight – conspiracy theorists
Kim wore sandals with socks paired with a formal dark suit at the exhibition, prompting renewed speculation outside North Korea that this could be related to his health.
The dictator's health has been the subject of frenzied debate in recent months, sparked by his apparent dramatic weight loss.
He is thought to have had medical problems linked to his weight, including gout which can result in feet swelling. He had been seen limping in public in the past.
Analyst Colin Zwirko, an analyst with Seoul-based NK News, said: "He lost a significant amount of weight in a short period in May, and in September he was seen standing on padded mats during long speeches, which is not typical."
