Man in his 30s gunned down in street as police urge witnesses to come forward

A man has been left seriously injured after a terrifying shooting in the West Midlands.

The incident took place in Queens Cross, Dudley, just after 12.35am on Sunday, January 31, morning, BirminghamLive reports.

West Midlands Police says a man in his 30s was gunned down and is appealing for information following the incident.

The area is sealed off as police officers comb the scene for evidence.

The force is urgently 'trying to establish who was responsible' – but no arrests have yet been made.

BirminghamLive reports there may also be a second scene in Stourbridge – but it is unclear if it is related.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We're appealing for information after a man has been seriously injured following a shooting in Dudley this morning (31 January).

"We were called to Queens Cross just after 12.35am today.

"A man in his 30s was found with serious injuries and is in a critical condition in hospital.

"A cordon has been put in place while enquiries are carried out in the area to try and establish who was responsible."
