A horrified husband found his wife beaten to death at a hotel she had been working in.
Gerald Strader started to get worried after not being able to get in touch with partner Tina, who was housekeeping manager at the Rodeway Inn in Venice, Florida, the US, WFLA reported.
After speaking with staff, Gerald found her in one of the rooms on Tuesday morning, April 20.
The mum of four and grandmother of two was badly beaten with a towel stuffed into her mouth, according to Sarasota County Sheriff Kurt Hoffman.
There was blood on the bed, along with bruises on her head and face, and defensive wounds on her hands.
Police officers rushed to the scene around 10.30am and Mrs Strader was taken to hospital.
However, she was tragically pronounced dead later that day.
Stephen Havrilk was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
Five officers were required to restrain him and take the 30-year-old into custody, who had been staying at the hotel for four weeks.

Sheriff Hoffman added: “He was literally speaking in tongues, acting very erratic, combative and was clearly under the influence of narcotics or some type of stimulant.”
He called it one of the most “egregious” crimes police had responded to in the county.
Hoffman said: “My heart breaks for this woman's husband and her family. By all accounts, she was doing her job when she was terrorized by this animal."
Mr Strader, who is disabled and confined to a wheelchair, has since set up a GoFundMe page to cover the funeral costs and his living expenses.
He wrote: “On Tuesday, April 20, 2021 my beautiful wife was murdered by an unstable person while she was at work.
“I am disabled, in a wheelchair, with limited use of either hand. We have no money to cover the funeral expenses or my living expenses.”

Mr Strader had been married to his wife for six years, and said she was hugely popular with hotel guests.
He added: “It has been amazing the messages and the stories that I have been told.
“She was the only reason that they stayed there and the kind little things she did for them.
“They were like blown away and amazed and I’m like, that is Tina.”
