In an unexpected comparison, an American broadcaster has likened Meghan Markle to actor Will Smith by saying both celebrities "whine" about their problems instead of focusing on what "real people are going through".
Smith slapped comedian Chris Rock at the 94th Academy Awards in a shocking live incident which has taken the world by storm after reacting badly to a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith's shaved head, a result of her alopecia, the Express reports.
The legendary actor went up again just moments later to accept the first Oscar of his career for his performance in King Richard.
He later apologised directly to Rock as well as the Academy for his behaviour.
He said in a statement posted on Instagram: “I would like to publicly apologise to you, Chris.
“I was out of line and I was wrong. Violence in all of its forms is poisonous and destructive."
Discussing the incident on GB News, controversial American news anchor Megyn Kelly compared the Hollywood star to Meghan Markle.

She said: “I put him in the same boat as I put Meghan Markle with her whining and crying about how hard it is to be a princess.
“You're probably one of the top three biggest stars in the world, do I give two figs about whether somebody's saying something not nice about you or how it's hard to stand the barbs that come your way?”
Despite Smith's apologetic words, Kelly believes the controversial slapping incident was all about himself.
