Meghan Markle’s powerful appearance at Vax Live raised awareness for disadvantaged women who have suffered financially as a result of the pandemic — and she emphasised that message with her choice of jewellery.

The Duchess of Sussex spoke openly about the heroic people who have worked tirelessly to ensure the world pulled through and beat Covid.

She also spoke of the nearly "5.5million women" who have lost their job across the states, explaining that 47 million more are expected to "slip into extreme poverty" in the next year.

Meghan’s message was loud and clear but the Duchess also gave a silent nod of solidarity to those who cannot see "the road ahead is getting brighter" from her home in Montecito, California.

In the clip, Meghan’s powerful necklace choice stood out as it is a part of a set created in honour of Vice President Kamala Harris, the first U.S. female Vice President.

The necklace, called the Woman Power Charm Necklace, features a custom Goddess Coin with Kamala pictured on the front.

Meghan bought the necklace for a cool $110 (£78.70), but it certainly fit the occasion as part of the sales of the necklace will be donated to fun women’s services.
