A Florida mother has been arrested after she allegedly travelled on a plane with her 12-year-old daughter so a man could rape her.

Police told the channel that 43-year-old Adrienne Klein of Gulf Breeze, Florida took her daughter get from Texas to Gwinnett County, Georgia, to see 20-year-old Gesart Hoxha from the town of Buford.

The pair have now been arrested in connection with a child sexual exploitation investigation that began in September, news channel WSB-TV reports.

Announcing the arrest on Facebook, local police said: "The Gwinnett Police Internet Crimes against Children (ICAC) Taskforce made two arrests. An investigation led to the arrest of Adrienne Klein (43-year-old female of Gulf Breeze, Florida) and Gesart Hoxha (20-year-old male from Buford)."

A statement from Gwinnett police added that Klein and Hoxha bought a flight for Klein’s daughter and gave her money for a hotel stay.

When detectives searched Hoxha’s Appaloosa Lane home, they found large sums of cash and explicit photos of Klein’s 12-year-old daughter, the station reports.

Investigators told them that they also learned Hoxha and the victim allegedly exchanged several messages online, including the explicit photos.

Klein is charged with enticing a child for indecent purposes and cruelty to children. She is currently waiting to be extradited to Gwinnett County.

Hoxha is charged with child molestation, statutory rape, enticing a child for indecent purposes and employing/using a minor to engage in/assist a person in sexually explicit conduct for the visual medium.

He is being held in the Gwinnett County Jail.

The channel says Hoxha will face a charge of indecency with a child by sexual contact in Arlington, Texas.
