More than 100 energy outages in the Denver metro area have impacted more than 7,000 customers on a snowy Thursday afternoon.
At about 145 p.m., Xcel Energy reported that 111 electrical outages impacted 7,666 customers.
Outage areas include central Denver, where 4,364 customers are impacted and the Littleton area where 218 customers were without electricity.
At Denver International Airport, 65 flights were delayed and five canceled between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Thursday, according to FlightAware.com. DIA officials said airport operations were “normal” on Thursday afternoon. The airport reported 7.2 inches of snow at noon.
Snow is expected to taper off late-afternoon Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
