Playboy model drowned during shoot with Brit photographer on booze-filled boat

A Playboy model has been found dead after going for a shoot on a boat with a British photographer.

Russian stunner Galina Fedorova, 32, drowned the Med after reportedly going for a swim with Yev Taranovs.

He told Italian cops he lost sight of Galina as they tried to reach their boat near a remote Sardinian island last Saturday.

The vessel was found littered with booze bottles after breaking from its anchor and beached on a nearby reef at Isola Rossa.

A police source said: “There is interest in the drone footage as this happened very close to a Nato firing range. We have to make sure the assignment was not a cover for a spying mission.”

Taranovs, 42, from Twickenham, London, had earlier posted on Instagram about his trip to “paradise”.

There is also a video of him steering a boat at speed with the caption: “A sailor went to sea sea sea.”

He was treated for shock after last Saturday’s tragedy.

On Instagram Galina’s mum Tatiana, paid tribute to her daughter and launched an appeal for funds to repatriate her body.

Tatiana said: "My daughter, died, drowned in an accident, a big wave, the boat overturned, on which she was and my daughter was sailing, but choked with sea water, the rescuers saw it too late and could not pump it out.

"She loved the sea very much, the sea took her away from me. I can only say goodbye to her if you help me.

"She lies and waits for me on the island of Sardinia. Help as much as you can.’"

Tatiana added her daughter had grown up wanting to be a journalist after her dad died when she was a girl but had ended up modelling after failing to secure a job in Moscow.

Her mum said: '"She lived and was happy wherever she lived, even in hostels, even without food for two days, work doesn't always happen.

"But she never complained. She loved life! She called herself a woman of the Planet! I ask for your help, support my desire to say goodbye to my daughter, hug and kiss her for the last time.''

A post-mortem on Galina found she drowned.

A police spokeswoman said: “The current took the boat towards the reef and they tried to swim towards it but were unable to reach it.”

She said the male survivor has been questioned, adding: “Bottles of alcohol were found on the boat.”

The Foreign Office said it was “offering advice and support to a British man in Sardinia”.
