Priest shot in Lyon as police launch hunt for gunman days after Nice attack

An Orthodox priest has been shot with a sawn-off shotgun with police hunting the alleged shooter.

The attack on the priest of Greek nationality took place at 4PM in Lyon, France before the suspect took off from the scene.

The priest who is now in a serious condition was "in the process of closing his church," a source told Agence France-Presse.

The Interior Ministry asks to avoid the area around Jean-Macé where emergency services have set up a cordon around the incident.
