Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, who wed in October 2018, have announced they are expecting a baby in early 2021.
Buckingham Palace confirmed the good news in a statement on Friday September 25.
The couple are said to be "very pleased" and are expecting the baby to arrive in early 2021, Buckingham Palace said.
Announcing the pregnancy on behalf of the couple, Buckingham Palace said: "Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank are "very pleased" to announce that they are expecting a baby in early 2021."
Queen Elizabeth the II and the Duke of Edinburgh are "delighted with the news," the palace added, as are Eugenie's parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.
Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank, Jack's parents, are also reportedly thrilled at the prospect of becoming grandparents.
Princess Eugenie's child will be the first grandchild for Prince Andrew and the Duchess of York.
