Queen urged peace talks between Harry and royals at Balmoral, source claims

The Queen was reportedly eager to arrange peace talks between Prince Harry and other royals during her recent trip to Balmoral.

Prince William and Kate Middleton brought their three children to the royal estate in Scotland over the Bank Holiday weekend.

It was the first time they’d all seen each other since Prince Philip’s death in April, Vanity Fair reported.

The Cambridges also visited Prince Charles and Camilla at their Birkhall estate.

A royal insider told Closer Weekly: “Elizabeth hopes that being physically together will ease the tensions among her family.

“She wants them all to create a stronger bond of emotional support for each other.”

Her Majesty also wanted to involve Harry, it is claimed.

They went on: “Elizabeth urged Harry to call via Zoom for peace talks while Charles is in Scotland and offered to be a mediator.

“It’s taken some persuasion, but they’ve agreed to it because they both love and respect the Queen.”

She was also keen to speak with William about how to deal with future challenges, it is claimed.

The source continued: “Elizabeth’s seen it all – the good, the bad and the ugly.

“But one thing she’s learned as queen is the power of positive thinking and facing challenges head on.”

Last week, a royal expert claimed that Charles’ plans for a slimmed down monarchy had been weakened by Harry’s departure.

The Prince of Wales is reportedly keen to tighten the Firm’s ranks.

It is believed he wants to assemble a team of seven senior royals to cut costs and boost the monarchy's popularity with the taxpayer.

“The whole ‘Charles project’ was built around family and two sons supporting him as king at his side and he’s now lost one of those guys.”
