People have been left 'horrified' by a mysterious yet gruesome looking 'nest' which has appeared in a UK garden.
The bizarre sack is beige and brown in colour and is estimated to be roughly 25cm in length, hanging creepily from a tree.
An image of the object was shared on Facebook by user Emily JC who took to the internet to find some answers, reports BirminghamLive.
Sharing the snap from her garden in Stourbridge, Emily wrote in her community Facebook page: "Any idea what this is, Stourbridgians? Hanging from tree in the garden."
People were quick to respond, with theories including exotic plants and bats.
One mate wrote simply: "Looks like a bat."
A woman wrote: "We think it's a cat in a bag, you can see it's face half way up inside the bag it's back legs are pushing down in the bag."
Another woman suggested it was a hornets' nest while a second man suggested it was a "locust" plant.
Another user didn't offer a theory but wrote: ""Omg that’s horrifying. Please be safe guys."
In response to the theories, Emily insisted: "It's not a bat guys. It's some sort of nest."
She added: "It could be some sort of plant pod. Loads of people are saying it could be a bat, still."

There are 18 species of bat in the UK, 17 of which breed here, but none seem to match the beige and brown colour of the mystery object.
Some agreed with the second man's theory, claiming that it could be a Gleditsia Sinensis plant – also known as the Chinese honey locust, soap bean or soap pod.
Gleditsia Sinensis is an ancient plant commonly used in traditional Chinese medicine. It is also used as a detergent.
The thorns have been used in the past to treat inflammatory diseases including swelling, suppuration, carbuncle and skin diseases.
