Back-to-back storms will hit the UK this week in the form of Storm Dudley and Storm Eunice. Storm Eunice is expected to hit on Thursday afternoon, with the worst of the storm taking place throughout Friday. Almost no corner of the UK will be left untouched by the barrage of bad weather this week, so Express.co.uk has all the timings and how badly your area will be hit.
According to NetWeather maps, Storm Eunice will reach the UK after crossing the Atlantic Ocean early on Thursday, with the most westerly parts of the UK hit first.
As a result, the Met Office has multiple weather warnings out – including more severe amber warnings – the most severe in place from 3am on Friday.
While there is currently some uncertainty over the track and intensity of Storm Eunice, it has the potential to produce stronger winds than Storm Dudley.
Regardless of its path, Storm Eunice is expected to be disruptive and the Met Office has warned the most severe red warning could be put in place in the coming days.
Met Office chief meteorologist Frank Saunders said: “An active jet stream is helping to drive low-pressure systems across the country, with both storms set to cause some disruption and National Severe Weather Warnings have been issued.
“Significant disruption is possible from both Storm Dudley and Storm Eunice with strong winds one of the main themes of the current forecast.
“The most impactful winds from Dudley will be in the north on Wednesday afternoon, as shown in the amber warning area.
“Storm Eunice is expected to track eastwards from early on Friday, bringing the most significant winds to the central and southern areas of the UK, with some gusts possible in excess of 95mph in exposed coastal areas.”
Scotland
Parts of southern Scotland will feel the brunt of Storm Eunice starting from tomorrow, with “very strong westerly winds” continuing into the evening.
More exposed areas could experience winds of up to 80mph, according to the Met Office.
On Friday, maps show a barrage of snow hitting almost all of Scotland bar the most northerly areas.
The borders, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Fife are all covered by a yellow weather warning for wind and snow throughout early Friday morning until 6pm.
This snowfall is expected to remain on the ground until Sunday.

North England
Winds of 60 to 70 mph will hit areas like Middlesbrough, Newcastle, Sunderland, and York throughout Thursday.
The Met Office has warned there is a good chance power cuts will occur, and travel services are likely to be disrupted.
From Friday, the Met Office wind and snow warning also covers the north.
Storm Eunice will bring plenty of snow to the same areas, with as much as 30cm expected in high areas and 5cm in lower areas.
Strong winds will continue according to the Met Office, with the forecaster warning “strong winds occurring at the same time may lead to very poor visibility, blizzard conditions and drifting of lying snow.”
Midlands
Parts of the Midlands, including Birmingham, Nottingham and Stoke-on-Trent, are covered by a yellow wind warning from Wednesday to Friday, with worst expected to hit throughout Thursday morning.
By Friday, Storm Eunice will be in full swing across the entire area, peaking in the afternoon after the storm travels north from the south.
Not much rain is expected in the Midlands throughout the storm, but high winds of up to 70mph will be felt across the region.
South England
On Thursday there is expected to be wind and unsettled weather across the south as Storm Eunice kicks in throughout the morning – but the worst of the storm will arrive on Friday.
The entire south of England is covered by a Met Office amber weather warning for wind on Friday.
The warning says “there is an increasing likelihood of widespread inland wind gusts of 60-70 mph and up to 80 mph in a few places”.
Coastal areas are also expected to be dangerous, with even higher winds of up to 100mph predicted by the Met Office.
Wales
Wales will be hit with a barrage of windy and wet weather, thanks to Storm Eunice.
By Friday morning, rain is expected to drench all of Wales according to the most recent maps – and the Met Office warns of gusts of 90 to 100mph across the west of the country.
The forecaster warns those in the area to avoid the coast and that damage to buildings is likely.
Northern Ireland
Weather warnings for wind and snow are in place across Northern Ireland between Wednesday and Friday.
As Eunice kicks in from Thursday morning, the strongest winds will be felt on the northern coasts, with those in the area advised not to go outside.
The yellow warning for wind and snow now comes into force from 3am on February 18 until 6pm the same day.
